Intersex Day

Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s are holding a series of events around France from 24 October to 8 November.

24 October:

Private viewing of the exhibition on intersex realities at ENS Cachan. The exhibition will be held from 24 October to 5 November at ENS Cachan, then from 6 November to 10 November at the Faculty of political science (Paris), in partnership with GARCES, /5/ and Amnesty International.

26 October: Intersex Awareness Day:

At 6 pm in Bordeaux: first regular presence of the Collective Intersexes and Allié.e.s in the bar Chat noir cha vert.

At 7:30 pm in Grenoble, at La BAF: screening and debate on “Between two sexes ” with the Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s, in partnership with RITA. Location: 2 chemin des alpinEs, Grenoble.

At 8 pm in Montpellier, at the bookshop Bad Reputation: screening and debate on short documentaries on the intersex realities with the Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s, in partnership with CLEF Montpellier.

27 October:

At 8 pm in Bordeaux in the LGBT center: screening and debate on the documentary “Between two sexes” with the Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s.

At 6:30 pm at Rennes 2 University: screening and debate on “Between two sexes” with the Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s and the director, in partnership with the collective FeminismeS.

29 October:

At 3 pm in Rennes at the LGBT center: meeting around the Uprooted comic by Gel Weo.

30 October:

At 7:30 pm in Paris (Bourse du Travail): Round table (Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s and Association of LGBT journalists) on the media treatment of the intersex issues, with the support of SUD éducation.

4 November:

At 7:30 pm in Angoulême (MPP): screening and discussion on the documentary “Between two sexes” with the Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s, in partnership with the Planned Parenthood 16.

At 6:00 pm in Paris 8, Saint-Denis University (lecture hall X): screening and debate on short documentaries on the intersex realities with the Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s, in partnership with NRJKIR.

7 November:

At 7:15 pm at the Faculty of Political Science (Paris): conference “Intersex people: human rights and perspective” with the Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s, in partnership with Equal.

At 7 pm in Nantes: meeting around the Uprooted comic by Gel Weo in partnership with Trans Inter Action.

8 November: Intersex Solidarity Day/Intersex day of Remembrance

At 7:30 pm in Paris: Gathering at Stravinsky place, then meeting with the Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s in La Mutinerie.

At 7:30 pm in Bordeaux: Closing evening for the Intersex Visibility Fortnightm at the University of Bordeaux (campus Victoire) with the Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s, in partnership with SUD.

At 8 pm in Nantes (La Conciergerie): screening and debate on “Intersexion” with one member of OII Francophonie, in partnership with the LGBT center.

At 8 pm to the Faculty of Science of Montpellier: screening and debate on short documentaries on intersex realities with the Collectif Intersexes et Allié.e.s, in partnership with CLEF Montpellier.
