On 25 October 2013, the Senate of Australia’s Community Affairs Committee published a landmark report, entitled “Involuntary or coerced sterilisation of intersex people in Australia”. It contains 15 recommendations to improve the health and well-being of intersex people.
On 23 October 2013, Hida Viloria spoke at UC Davis’s LGBTQIA Pride Week, preceded by a screening of Orchids: My Intersex Adventure.
